Need For Libraries

Books in storageWhile distributing books to rural regions is a rewarding job for us at PEN Trust – we need your help to make it a more efficient project. While visiting many of the rural schools that have already received books from PEN, we find many schools that do not have the resources for shelving units or building structures to house the books properly. Books are often left in Headmaster’s offices for security reasons and thus the access for students is limited.

The next phase of our long term poverty alleviation strategy is to construct libraries for each school we have given books to if they do not already have one. This is a big venture, but one we feel will have a great impact on the lives of the communities and schools we work in.
