Ikhanoda Ward is among the typical areas in Singida Region which is affected by low literacy levels. Every year there are more than 200 students eligible to go to secondary school that could not make it because of the non availability of sufficient secondary schools.

In 2003, PEN Trust donated school plans and subsequently donated skilled labour to realize the class rooms which will cater for more secondary school enrollment. In October 2005, PEN Trust donated the highly appreciated books from Books For Africa. Thanks BFA!

Today the school operates with two initial streams and the construction is still on. Individuals as well as group contribution are most welcome so that Ikhanoda can have a full fledged secondary school. A special thank you goes to our friend in Los Angeles, California, USA for the recent contribution towards the completion of classroom construction.

How can you help?
• Provide materials or labor for further construction
• Teacher housing needs completion
• Toilet facilities
• Electricity
• Student Scholarships ($60.00 per year)
• Teacher Salaries
